For Johan Diederik Möhr Keet (1882–1976), South African forester and plant collector, director of forestry in South Africa 1935–1942. During his career he was controller of timber during World War II, a technical advisor to the division of soil conservation and extension at the department of agriculture (1945–1955), also acting in an advisory capacity in South-West Africa, and technical advisor for the development of the Westfalia Estate, northeastern Transvaal, and residential director of afforestation from 1956–1969. He collected fungi and other specimens around Stellenbosch, in the Knysna area, in the eastern and northeastern Transvaal, and in South-West Africa. Stellenbosch University awarded him an honorary PhD in 1964.
