Short etymology:
Presumably for Pierre Hainard (1936– ), Swiss professor, geobotanist, phytogeographer and ecologist at the University of Lausanne’s department of ecology and evolution and curator (1965–1981) of the Conservatoire et Jardin Botaniques of Geneva. He took part in the geobotanical survey of Switzerland in 1998 relating, inter alia, to the effect of climate change, and one of the publications used was Effect of Reduced Flow of Riverson the Flora and Vegetation, a booklet he co0authored in 1987.
